56 years ago, in July of 1955, Audrey Hepburn started to film the classic "War and Peace" in Italy and Yugoslavia. Directed by King Vidor, produced by Dino de Laurentis and Calo Ponti & starring Henry Fonda and her husband Mel Ferrer, was based in the best seller Tolstoi´s book. This is one of the most famous Audrey´s movies, playing the role of Natasha.

Hace 56 años, en Julio de 1955, Audrey Hepburn comenzó a filmar el clásico "Guerra y Paz" en Italia y Yugoslavia. Dirigida por King Vidor, producida por Dino de Laurentis y carlo Ponti, así como estelarizada por Henry Fonda y su esposo Mel Ferrer, se basó en el exitoso libro de Tolstoi. AUDREY AND COLETTE´S MEETING: 60 YEARS - EL ENCUENTRO DE AUDREY Y COLETTE: 60 AÑOS

In Summer, June 1951, Colette, the writter of the best seller classic book "Gigi", was looking the main role, for the theatre play she was preparing from the same book. She was at Montecarlo, when she decided to go to the beach. Suddenly, she saw a young lady filming a movie in that beach and her first impression was "That is Gigi. She is perfect for the role". That young lady was Audrey. Later, Colette sent her a gift with the note: "To Audrey Hepburn, the treasure i´ve found on the beach". One month after, the ladies started to prepare the play of "Gigi" to be represented in the Fulton Theatre in New York. That was the start of Audrey´s legend in the theatre and about her sucess in United States.

En el verano, Junio de 1951, Colette, la esritora de la obra best seller"Gigi", estaba buscando la actriz para el rol principal de la representación teatral del mismo libro. Ella estaba en Montecarlo, cuando decidió ir a al playa. De repente, ella vió una joven fimando una pelicula en esa playa y su primera impresión fue "Esa es Gigi. Ella es perfecta para el papel". Esa joven era Audrey. Mas tarde, Colette le envio un regalo con la nota "para Audrey Hepburn, el tesoro que encontre en la playa". Un mes después, las damas empezaron a preparar la obra de teatro "Gigi" para ser representada en el teatro Fulton de Nueva York. Ese fue el inicio de la leyenda de Audrey en el teatro y acerca de su suceso en Estados Unidos.

English 55 years ago, on April, 1956, Audrey started in Paris the filming of her movie "Funny Face" directed by Stanley Dohen. This Musical was filmed sharing roles with the legendary dancer Fred Astaire and Kay Thompson. Was based on the 1927 Braoadway musical by George Gershwin. Featured the main role of Audrey dancing and singing in her role of Jo Stockton. The National Board of Review gave this movie an Special Citation award for the photographic innovations made on his film.

Hace 55 años, en Abril de 1956. Audrey inició en Paris la filmación de su película "Una Cara con Angel" (Cenicienta en París) dirigida por Stanley Dohen. Este Musical fue filmado compartiendo roles con el legendario bailarín Fred Astaire y Jay Thompson. Se basó en el musical de Broadway hecho por George Gershwin. Presentó el rol principal de Audrey bailando y cantando en su rol de Jo Stockton. El "National Board of Review" dió a esta película un galardón por las innovaciones fotograficas hechas en este film.

35 years ago, on March of 1976, Audrey came back to the movies after years of being outside the acting. The movie was directed by Richard Lester (director of Help and Hard day´s Night), co-staring with Sean Connery and filmed in Pamplona, Spain in only few days. Some scenes such as the river crossing were inprovised and the acting roles were done under time pressure. Under the reference of several authors, Audrey was not happy about the way of filming the movie, but based in her professional style she ended the work. But one thing was certain: The critics and the media were happy about the return of Audrey to the films.

Hace 35 años, en Marzo de 1976, Audrey regreso a las peliculas despues de años de estar fuera de la actuación. La pelicula fue dirigida por Richard Lester (Socorro! y Que noche la de aquel dia) co estelarizada con Sean Connery y filmada en Pamplona, España en solo pocos días. Algunas escenas como la del cruce del rio fueron improvisadas y los roles de actuación fueron hechos bajo la presión del tiempo. Bajo la referencia de varios autores, Audrey no estaba feliz sobre la forma de filmar la película, pero basada en su estilo profesional ella culminó el trabajo. Pero una cosa fue cierta: Los críticos y los medios estuvieron felices del retorno de Audrey a las Películas.
